We have attended for the past several years, and enjoyed each one. This year, the day dawned bright and beautiful.

Civic Center Park is a nice location, and was filled to the brim with an enthusiastic audience. It was nice to see Justin Carbone was still traveling the host band, Special Consensus. I had thought perhaps that we had seen him for the last time earlier this summer.

The 2009 Galax Mountain Dulcimer champion Ashby Frank was playing what we expected him to be playing, and it wasn’t a dulcimer.
