We enjoyed attending this fine show in Wilmington, Ohio, November 11-13.
The Thursday night veterans tribute was an addition to what has been a two day event in the past. The Centerville High School Alternative Strings ensemble joined Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage and Nothin’ Fancy to pay tribute to both veterans and active service people.

The City of Auburn Hills sponsors a bluegrass show the Saturday after Labor Day each year. We have attended for the past several years, and enjoyed each one. This year, the day dawned bright and beautiful.
Civic Center Park is a nice location, and was filled to the brim with an enthusiastic audience. It was nice to see Justin Carbone was still traveling the host band, Special Consensus. I had thought perhaps that we had seen him for the last time earlier this summer.
The 2009 Galax Mountain Dulcimer champion Ashby Frank was playing what we expected him to be playing, and it wasn’t a dulcimer.
We stayed to the bitter end, and had a great time. You can see all the photos from the link on the here.
