This year’s Milan Festival included a “Wine and Paint” event on Tuesday evening, and some photos of that are included. There was a Potluck & Jam sponsored by the Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association on Wednesday evening, followed by an open stage event on the campground’s new stage. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to play on the stage! The acts which appeared were: Mountain Faith, Feller & Hill, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, The Spinney Brothers, Nothin’ Fancy, Sugar Creek Bluegrass, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Dailey & Vincent, Volume Five, Larry Efaw & the Bluegrass Mountaineers, Junior Sisk & Rambler’s Choice, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, and Detour.

The Marshall Bluegrass Festival was held at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds in Marshall, Michigan the week of July 20. The campground was filled for the entire week while attendees enjoyed all the activities presented by Jeremie Cole and his team. As is usually the case, many people were in attendance at the band scramble run by Jan Green on Saturday morning. Everyone enjoyed a week of picking and visiting. The stage show included: Sideline, The Bluegrass Mountaineers, The Blankenship Brothers, Turning Ground, Moron Brothers, Blue Mafia, Harboutown, New Outlook, Out of Mind and Out of the Blue.

Wes Pettinger and his team presented the 2015 version of the Charlotte Bluegrass Festival on June 18-20, 2015. The number of campers seemed larger than in the past few years, and everyone had a great time. Appearing on stage were: Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time, Lonesome River Band, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, Adkins & Loudermilk, the Wildwood Valley Boys, The Bluegrass Brothers, Donna Ulisse, Harbourtown and Audie Blaylock. Also included in the photos are some from the Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Association Jam on Wednesday evening.

Joe Mullins and his family presented the Southern Ohio Indoor Music Festival on March 27 and 28 at the Roberts Centre, Wilmington Ohio. This well run and well attended was fun for everyone. The groups that appeared were Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Feller Hill, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, the Issacs, the Wildwood Valley Boys, The Spinney Brothers, The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band and the Grascals.The Fall Southern Ohio Festival we be held on November 13 and 14 this year, more info here.

The March, Newell Lodge Bluegrass Festival was well attended. As usual, there was plenty of jamming and lots of good food. Artists who appeared were: Amanda Cook, Blue Road, Mountain Faith, Gary Waldrep, the Lonesome River Band, Big Cypress Bluegrass, the King Family.

It was chilly at Palatka during the February Festival, but a large crowd enjoyed every minute of the show. Ernie and Debi Evans presented the Roscoe Canady Mmeorial Festival at Dixieland RV Park . A full week of activities provided fun for everyone. The acts appearing were: Greg Bird, Jerry Butler & the Blu-J’s, The Gary Waldrep Band, Sideline, and Nothin’ Fancy.

The Dale Ann Bradley band appeared at Randy Wood Guitars in Bloomingdale Georgia on October 11, 2014. An enthusiastic crowd enjoyed an evening of great music.
